Year 6 is such a special and exciting final chapter in your primary school journey, which is full of lots of hard work, challenge and memory making! We will work together to rise to new challenges, gain some great responsibilities and enjoy new opportunities throughout the year.

Please continue to check Class Dojo as our method of communication between school and home, we will update this regularly with updates on what the children have been up to in school and any important messages.

             • Global Challenges •

This term we are GEOGRAPHERS. We will explore the current climate crisis and the effect that climate change and global warming are having on our planet. The children will gain an understanding of the greenhouse effect and how this causes global warming.

We will explore different climate zones and how land is used differently in each one of them. We will start to understand that if climate change continues to occur, there will be serious consequences. We will then research the effects of climate change and the individuals who are trying to make a  change. Together we will embark on a journey as global citizens, outlining the way we use our planet, the challenges and potential consequences we face and ultimately the responsibility we have.
